S. Craig Humphreys, M.D.
Cervical & Lumbar Specialist

With his family roots in Tennessee, it was an easy decision for Craig Humphreys to set up his medical practice in Chattanooga. After being raised in Alaska, he began his studies at the University of Notre Dame where he received his undergraduate degree. He continued on to Loyola Stritch School of Medicine where he was awarded his medical degree. Immediately following medical school and during his Internship and Residency at Loyola Stritch, he spent several months assisting in the medical needs of other countries. He traveled to India, St. Lucia and Lithuania where he shared his talents in assisting with the medical needs of the communities.

Dr. Humphreys completed his studies with a Fellowship in Orthopaedic Spine Surgery at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He joined the Center for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics in 1996 and specializes in the spine.

“It is so rewarding to see patients who’ve experienced chronic pain as they begin to experience a wider range of movement.  We work hard to help them achieve their goals, but our patients are nothing short of remarkable.”
