Alan Odom, M.D.

Alan Odom grew up in Knoxville, graduating from Central High School, where he was a member of the school’s Future Physicians Club.

In 1970 he got his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee. Dr. Odom earned his medical degree at the UT School of
Medicine in Memphis, then came to Chattanooga for his Internship and Residency in the training program at Erlanger.

Dr. Odom engages in research projects involving Osteoarthritis of the hip and is a frequent presenter in seminars and at local colleges. But he has also become a true cowboy and enjoys traveling in
the West.

In 1979 he joined a medical practice that became the Center for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics, and is now the senior member of our practice.
